Reseña del libro

Early 2016 seemed like a very promising time for Roberto. His very first grandchild had been born and life seemed especially good. A few days after the birth of Amaia, however, something bad happened. Roberto had a heart attack that threatened his life. After an eight day stay at the hospital he left the place a changed man. He realized how terribly fragile our lives are. Like soap bubbles we are here today and then ‘POP!’ we’re gone. It seemed so unfair yet so real. There was so much he wanted to share with his loved ones, as we all do. Yet what could he do? What can anyone do when faced with the prospect of an early death? In Roberto’s case it seemed obvious. He was a writer. If he wanted to share anything with his lovely granddaughter he needed to do it now and in writing. This book is an attempt to defy the brutal censorship of death. It is a way of reaching out and leaving something behind so that our new baby knows how much she is loved and share with her thoughts on practical matters like friendship, love, money and time, things that mattered to her ‘abuelo’, things that can hopefully make her life a bit better. It is a labor of love, a small legacy for a bright new life, one of so many new lives in millions of families around the world.
