You are standing in present day northern England in the village of Windlestraws, up in the very hills that once were home to the local witches of the 17th century. Jet Splinters, a handsome, mysterious yet naive black cat has been sent there by his master to meet with the beautiful and unsuspecting witch, Jinny Lane, whilst just around the corner, the faeries that dwell in the hedgerow are in need of Jinny’s help to prevent a despicable developer from establishing a golf course on their sacred domain.
