In a small town like El Sueno, Mexico, gay boys must lie to hide their truth. The dream is quickly killed as violence claims his mother's life on the streets of Gardens, California. Armando excels in his passion for soccer and catches the eyes of a coach from one of the preppy schools on the rich side of town, Shallow Creek. A soccer star at his school, Armando's fortunes change when he meets Lalo, a boy from down the street exploring his female alter-ego, Miss Lola Divine.
