A central concern of Anja Gansters work is not only the existential relationship between an individual to space, time, or motion, but also to the indescribable and inexplicable. This occurs partially through the manner in which the source material is translated into painting, but also through the empty spaces within the image, which allow the viewer to incorporate their own experiences, to remember, or to feel.
