A book of short poems based on haiku, tanka, and shadorma forms, as well as snippets (collage poetry put together from cut-out printed words or phrases, each poem three lines long. Subject matter - anything that strikes me - and I don’t really care if I veer off the traditional themes and rules for haiku and tanka. I enjoy writing within a prescribed syllable format and a tight structure keeps the thoughts from straying from the point. I find everyday life fascinating and I'm a collector of the daily experiences happening all around me, picking through them and writing them down with my pen in a little notebook. I think there is something important in every moment of the day and I'm hoping to catch some of it in these short poems.
