More than 70 years of Soviet rule have set their marks on the memorial culture of several generations of Russian-Germans. By examining the experiences of persecution, dictatorship and migration, the present volume aims to raise awareness for the complexities of the ever changing memorial culture in Germany. In doing so, the authors emphasize both the challenges and the chances of new migrant narrations, highlighting possibilities for future narrations in post-migrant Germany.
