Most US schools began allowing Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) in 2015. Since then, these therapeutic animals have become a familiar sight around colleges nationwide. Usually cats, dogs, or rabbits, ESAs help students with disabilities navigate the emotional waters of campus life. Getting approval for an ESA can be a confusing process.
