Chief Two Socks Norton, "Chief" to his friends, is the faithful companion of the author's son Evan. Between 2019 and 2021 Chief occasioally stayed with Escott and his wife Jeanne in thier Historic Core loft when Evan was out of town on jobs, so the author took Chief on daily walks to some of his favorite Downtown Los Angeles spots.
