Worn out, I lay down on the couch to rest for a while. I woke up on the other side, confused because although I had been sick for a while, I thought I was better. I was told I had experienced eleven lifetimes, and while all were engraved on the soul, I was allowed to review my first life time on Earth and one that was especially pivotal. Seeing my life, the sorrows and the triumphs, the times of despair as well as the times of joy, filled me with such compassion for mankind. What courage it takes to experience life as a human, wondering if we are doing things right, wondering if God loves us, not sure there even is a God! But is is through these experiences that our soul evolves and we become the elevated beings that is our destiny. I returned--it was my choice--because I saw my daughter would be inconsolable, and that I could not do. But before my memories faded, I began to write down everything I had learned.
