Reseña del libro

Churches are struggling, shrinking, and closing. As our culture becomes more post-modern and post-Christian, more people are looking at church as an archaic anachronism. Pressures are mounting from both within and without to change our tactics, shift our focus, and revise our values and beliefs. The arrival of the coronavirus pandemic has only made matters worse. Attendance and givings have dropped to all-time lows. What is a church to do in these trying times? There is only one answer: the church needs to be the church. Through a study of key passages in the Book of Acts, we can recognize and embrace the marks of Christ’s church past and present. We will behold the four essential pillars that provide the structural integrity for this spiritual temple that our Lord is building. These pillars give the church its strength and keep the doorway open for those coming in. David Cooke graduated from Toronto Baptist Seminary. He served as a church pastor in Ontario, Canada, and as a missionary teacher in Honduras. He also directed a national non-profit organization defending Christian values in society. He is married and has two children.
