The painterly universe of Jagoda Bednarsky (b. Złotoryja, Poland, 1988; lives and works in Frankfurt am Main) revolves around questions of layering and planes of localization. By collaging and overpainting found and invented imagery, she creates seemingly haphazard and mystical syntheses of ambivalent realities. Bednarskys first monograph includes texts by Meike Behm, Elke Gruhn, Jenny Kalliokulju, and EricJohn Russell.
