This is a collection of letters written by John Newton over the last eighteen years of his life. They were written to, and collected by, John Campbell. Originally published in 1811, these letters were edited to protect those who were still alive. Now, over 200 years later, many letters have had the edited portions restored, and an additional seven letters have been added that have never been published before. Also contained are notes of conversations with Mr. Newton in his final years.
