Reseña del libro

From reading the Bible, July finds verses for the events she went through in her life that made her write this book. For example, when her family betrayed her: "Judah said to his brothers, 'What will we gain if we kill our brother and cover up his blood? Come, let's sell him to the Ishmaelites and not lay our hands on him; after all, he is our brother, our flesh, and blood.' His brothers agreed" (Gen. 37:26-27).Also, when July was questioning if God was real. Well, it happened to Israelites in Exodus 3:15. "God also said to Moses, 'Say to the Israelites, "The Lord, [d] the God of your fathers--the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob--has sent me to you. This is my name forever, the name you shall call me from generation to generation."And when July goes to the witchcra lady: "Do not allow a sorceress to live" (Exod. 22:18).Also, when she didn't know why all these bad things were happening to her: "See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared" (Exod. 23:20).When July said to God that she wanted to die because she can't it take more from people and family who betrayed her: "I cannot carry all these people by myself; the burden is too heavy for me.15 If this is how you are going to treat me, please go ahead and kill me--if I have found favor in your eyes--and do not let me face my ruin" (Num. 11:14, 15).When July felt guilty from the rapes, but on the contrary: "But if in the open country a man meets a young woman who betrothed, and the man seizes her and lies with her, then only the man who lay with her shall die. Do nothing to the woman; she has committed no sin deserving death. This case is like that of someone who attacks and murders a neighbor" (Deut. 22:25, 26).
