Pearl and Stasha are twins. Identical, inseparable, they even dream about the same things. There, under the watch of Josef Mengele, they experience both privileges and horrors unknown to other prisoners, and they find themselves changed, stripped of the personalities they once shared. The eventual liberation of Auschwitz puts Stasha on the difficult road back home, and on a mission that seems impossible: to find her sister.
