The fourth compilation of Carlos Fuentes works brings together four of his classic novels: Distant relations, Old Gringo, The campaign and The crystal frontier. This constitutes a cycle in which the geographical borders between Mexico and the United States, and the conceptual borders drawn by the conquest, the French invasions of the nineteenth century and relationships between Europe and America, all trace an outline of Mexicos identity depicted through its history and prominent figures.
