Volume V, consisting of two parts (A and B) of ca. ten volumes of the new handbook series on fungi, deals with interactions between fungi and plants. On the one hand, fungi as pathogens and, on the other hand, associations by which both partners - the fungus and the plant - profit are treated. Both aspects are of special importance to agriculture.
