This textbook has been updated to take a more evidence-based approach. Outlining the theory and practice of occupational therapy, the emphasis throughout is on the need for clear aims of treatment within a sound theoretical framework. The clear case-study approach and easy-to-read style have been retained. New chapters have been added to cover occupational therapy for mental health services and the therapeutic relationship, and up-to-date references to research and evidence-based practice are also included.
