Sammy is a two-toed sloth about five years of age. He was abandoned by his mother, like other sloths, after only six to eight months of nursing. He is from Costa Rica where there is a heavy population of sloths.Sammy gets adopted by Tommy and his parents, the same parents who just adopted Tommy. Tommy is a very impatient boy, who finally learns patience from the help of his new parents and Sammy.
