The British Library holds a large collection of Hebrew books, including many works of historical and antiquarian interest. This catalogue contains descriptions of books acquired by the Department of Oriental Manuscripts and Printed Books of the British Museum, later the Oriental Collections of the British Library, between 1893 and 1960. Most of the works acquired were also printed during this period, although there are also some earlier and rare examples from the earliest days of printing. With almost 10,000 main entries, this work should be of use to anyone researching in the firld of Hebrew bibliography and literature.
