Subject learning and language learning are intimately related, which means that all teachers need competency in language education. This study reviews linguistic features of biology and empirically presents teachers` ideas to show how to integrate biology, the language of biology, and potentials for language development into subject teaching, thereby providing a base for developing education programs.
