Teresa of Calcutta was a Catholic nun of Albanian origin and founder of the Missionaries of Charity. For more than 45 years he dedicated his life to caring for the poor, sick, orphaned and dying, first in India and later in the rest of the world. For her humanitarian work she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize and, after her death, she was canonized and proclaimed a saint.
