Herbert Onslow, a young English bank clerk works in Munich, for the small family German banking concern of Heine Brothers. The younger of the Heines takes the young Britisher into their home, where he begins to grow in love with Ida Heine. Ida is a clear-headed young lady who is reluctant to tie the knot, until Herbert has demonstrated that he can maintain a separate household.
