This is the first published monograph on the human yolk sac and includes aspects of both the normal human organ and yolk sac tumors. The development, histology, ultrasonography and pathology of the sac are extensively covered as well as the clinical-pathological implications of this organ in the normal first trimester of pregnancy and abortus. Yolk sac tumors are considered both in their complex diagnostic histopathology and clinical management.
