Antes del descubrimiento de cualquier cueva, los servicios esenciales de Nerja estaban en la única carretera hacia a Málaga, en un extremo una iglesia en el otro una herrería. Entre ellos había una fuente, dos posadas dirigidas respectivamente por Pilar y Rosario, cuyo hijo se encargaba de la gasolinera. En la parte del mar estaba el llamado“Balcón de Europa”. También había un cementerio. Hoy en día, 60 años después intactas y no manipuladas, estas fotografías son capaces de contar esta historia más vívidamente que las meras palabras.Before discovery of any caves, Nerja’s essential services were by the single road to Malaga, at one end a church at the other a farrier.
