Frank Anthony Wilczek es un físico teórico estadounidense nacido en Mineola, Nueva York, en 1951, considerado una de las figuras más influyentes de la física contemporánea. Formado en la Universidad de Chicago y doctorado en la Universidad de Princeton bajo la dirección de David Gross, realizó contribuciones fundamentales a la cromodinámica cuántica, la teoría que describe la interacción fuerte entre las partículas subatómicas. A lo largo de su carrera ha estado vinculado a instituciones de prestigio como el Instituto de Tecnología de Massachusetts (MIT), donde desarrolló gran parte de su labor investigadora. Su trabajo se distingue por combinar profundidad científica con una notable capacidad para comunicar ideas complejas a públicos no especializados.
