The relationship between expectations and reality is critically analysed in order to articulate prospects for the future, particularly for those who are responsible for organizing and managing outpatient care. German description: Der Band beschaftigt sich mit dem zunehmend kritischen Bereich der sozialen Infrastruktur, der ambulanten Pflege. Er nimmt eine Bestandsaufnahme dessen vor, was gegenwartig bei der hauslichen Unterstutzung langerfristig hilfe- bzw. pflegebedurftiger Personen geschieht bzw. geschehen kann und wie sich dies zu den Erwartungen und Versprechungen verhalt, die den offentlichen und fachwissenschaftlichen Diskurs pragen.
