The external environment has a direct influence on people's quality of life. Having a home where you can enjoy a mild temperature guarantees not only this quality, but also peaceful coexistence and improved relationships. A home should ensure that during the high temperatures of summer and the lower temperatures of winter, the interior remains at a pleasant temperature. Affordable housing has been the most notable type of building in Brazil in recent times. Given their large number and evidence, this will be the focus of the following study. This research aims to identify and evaluate the construction quality and performance of low-income housing in terms of thermal comfort. It will compare and identify, through on-site research, which of the structural masonry techniques has the best thermal performance for human habitation.
