On April 16, 2007, the worst and deadliest shooting in American modern history shattered the peaceful Virginia Tech Institute campus. Mentally ill, not willing to be treated voluntarily, and presenting an imminent danger to self and others, Seung-Hui Cho murdered 32 innocent people, and wounded 17 others.Days after the shooting, Professor Cloyd, father of a victim, emailed his students: "If we don't meet again, your final assignment from me is perhaps the most important lesson you will learn in life.
