David Graeber (1961-2020) fue un antropólogo, escritor y activista estadounidense, reconocido por sus estudios sobre anarquismo, economía y antropología política. Fue profesor en la London School of Economics y una figura clave en el movimiento Occupy Wall Street. Sus obras han influido en debates sobre el trabajo, la deuda y la organización social, consolidándolo como un pensador crítico del capitalismo y las estructuras de poder.

Entre sus libros más destacados se encuentran La deuda: Los primeros 5000 años (2011), donde examina la historia de la deuda como institución económica y social, Trabajos de mierda (2018), una crítica a la inutilidad de ciertos empleos modernos, y El amanecer de todo (2021), coescrito con David Wengrow, que replantea la historia de la humanidad desde una perspectiva antropológica.
