The government is attempting to save some of the populace by setting up FEMA camps and enforcing martial law but are soon overwhelmed by the sheer size of the disaster and a world without law begins. Come read and enjoy the antics of two old southern sharecroppers trying to teach a group of preppers the finer arts of mule plowing and backwoods living. Unbeknownst to the preppers the overseer of this place has had a plan for years to escape this place and do some high living with a mysterious treasure his neighbor found in the hold of a old casino barge but now he must enlist their aid as strangers have come to lay claim to his prize.The three book series "A Prepper Is Cast Adrift" told the story about how the survivors arrived at the plantation. This new stand alone series "The Apocalyptic Rifle" tells a fanciful tale of how the preppers plan on relocating the old barge and going on a trading and survival mission on the Alabama River.
