The most common form of arthritis is osteoarthritis. An estimated 21 million adults have osteoarthritis. Other prevalent related conditions include gout, fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis. Another estimated 2.1 million adults suffer from rheumatoid arthritis. Gout has been diagnosed in an estimated 5.1 million adults and it is estimated 3.7 million more adults have fibromyalgia.
