Review: One of the most informative books on Arthritis on the market today Coping With Fibromyalgia was written because of the huge number of Baby Boomers and senior citizens that are afflicted with one or another form of this disease. The number of arthritis patients is growing at a rapid rate. Fibromyalgia is a disease of the elderly. Arthritis in its varied forms affect children, teens and young adults in surprising numbers and is often a process of aging. An estimated 46 million adults in the United States reported have been told that they have some form of arthritis. By the year 2030, it is estimated that over 67 million of Americans aged 18 years or older will have medically diagnosed arthritis of one form or another. A surprising statistic to most people is that almost 300,000 children under age 18 have one or another form of arthritis or rheumatic condition, representing approximately one in every 250 children in the United States.
