Follow Dexter Farquhar, a physician assistant as he recounts day to day clinic duties, adventures, and challenges he faces providing care 900 miles from the nearest hospital. You will be there with him. The life and death events recount medevacs, Coast Guard rescues, Bush Plane flying, Eskimos, and is told with some humor, and a feeling of looking over his shoulder. The stories are fiction while the drama is real, experienced by the author, a physician assistant, who has worked in Alaska for 15 years, commuting from "the lower 48."
