Herbalism builds on the science of botany, to develop drugs or diet supplements for the maintenance of health, disease prevention and treatment. Essential oil extracts, salves, creams, lotions, etc. can be applied topically. Aromatherapy is also a herbal treatment and works through the direct inhalation of vapors. Herbal medicine is also administered in the form of herbal teas, decoctions, infusions, tinctures, etc. The aim of this book is to present researches that have transformed this discipline and aided its advancement. It is a vital tool for all researching and studying this field. It aims to shed light on some of the unexplored aspects of herbal drugs, their synthesis and applications.
