Cal Newport (1982) es profesor de Ciencia Computacional en la Universidad de Georgetown (Washington) y autor referente en productividad y la relación entre tecnología y cultura digital.

Doctorado en informática por el MIT, Newport se ha especializado en sistemas distribuidos y algoritmos, y hoy es profesor titular en Georgetown, donde también lidera investigaciones relacionadas con el impacto tecnológico en la sociedad.
