Elena Ferrante (Nápoles, Italia, 1943), seudónimo de la escritora italiana Anita Raja, es una de las autoras más enigmáticas de la literatura contemporánea. Durante años, su anonimato generó fascinación y controversia. Su novela Los días del abandono (2002) la lanzó al éxito, consolidándose con obras como Crónicas del desamor (2011) y la aclamada trilogía Dos amigas (adaptada a serie de TV). Aunque ha ganado premios como el Oplonti y el Procida Elsa Morante, nunca los ha recogido en persona.
