Lydia María Cacho Ribeiro, más conocida como Lydia Cacho, es una periodista, escritora, conferencista y activista de los derechos humanos mexicana, naturalizada española.

Ha recibido reconocimientos internacionales por investigar crímenes y desarrollar herramientas sociales y por su labor en enseñar nuevas técnicas de cómo enfrentar la esclavitud y la trata de personas en todo el mundo. Fundó un refugio para mujeres de alta seguridad en México: el Centro Integral de Atención a las Mujeres CIAM Cancún A.C. Logró la primera sentencia por tráfico sexual de niños y pornografía infantil en México y en América Latina (112 años de prisión).
