Simona nació en Cerdeña. Estudió animación en 2D en National Film School en Turín. Tras terminar sus estudios se trasladó a Londres, donde reside y trabaja desde el año 2005. En Inglaterra cursó la carrera de ilustración infantil. Es ilustradora y escritora de numerosos libros, incluyendo el bestseller Abrázame.
