Bnei Machshavah Tovah was written by Rabbi Kalonymus Kalmish Shapira of Piaseczna in the early 1920s as a handbook for his most exemplary students, chassidim, of Piaseczno. The book, or pamphlet, charts a course for the members of the group to follow in their quest to achieve closeness to God. The aim of the group was to perceive God and sense His presence everywhere, such that the individual "sees that he is in God's garden, before His Throne of glory-that is the purpose of our society."
