Nausicaä embarks on an inner, spiritual journey to the heart of the Sea of Corruption, where she discovers its surprising secret. She returns to the land of the living, compelled to share her discovery, but Nausicaä accidentally awakens a God Warrior from its stasis.

Junto con Isao Takahata, fundó Studio Ghibli, un estudio de películas y animación. Su estilo único está compuesto por la reiteración de temáticas, personajes de gran profundidad psicológica, ausencia de personajes malvados, y un sinfín de particularidades que lo hacen único. Es uno de los mayores autores de la historia de la animación.
