Reading and comprehension are essential skills that children should acquire sooner than later. Those skills pay dividends throughout schooling, and indeed, for a lifetime.

Every child should experience the thrill and amazement of books drawing them out of their limited physical world to the excitement of their imagination, unleashing the world at large and the universe at their command. This should happen often as children are read to and are guided to acquire reading skills.
