Stanley Mortimer lives alone. His wife is dead, his daughter has left for a new life in Canada, and he's content to see out the rest of his days, listening to music, watching the occasional film or, from time to time, the comings and goings of neighbours on the Crescent.Most see him as a reclusive, mildly eccentric, middle-aged widower, but he has a dark secret. He has a history of depression, and a propensity toward extreme violence. When a new family move into number 17, the tranquillity of his solitary existence is shattered; throwing his routine into chaos. They become the neighbours from Hell. Their unruly behaviour, noisy parties, and a barking dog test his patience to the limit, the slumbering beast awakens, and he snaps. He takes matters into his own hands. He unleashes his vengeance, and someone will pay with their life.
