Set in Mid-20th Century Albuquerque, New Mexico and 2nd Century Roman Britain, 'Mouia's tales will enchant the reader while Ellen's dilemma will break hearts. Artwork scattered through the book draws the reader further into Mouia's world. Although Songs to an Ancient Moon confronts issues of identity, love, loyalty and integrity, it works quite well as a romance, fantasy and adventure. The sex scenes are muted sufficiently at to make it appropriate for young adults as well.
