As a coach, it has been my mission to explore with my clients each aspect of what it means to be Strengths focused and to live from a place of "what it possible", instead of "what needs fixing." What I have found, time and time again, is that when we are each able to get out of our own we can step into a life with greater meaning, less stress, and more aliveness. There is no greater tool that I have found than StrengthsFinder/CliftonStrengths to begin this journey to personal freedom. The following pages are organized into two distinct sections. The first is a deep dive into one of the four Strengths Domains, which are: Executing, Influencing, Strategic Thinking, and Relationship Building. These are categories designed by the creators of the StrengthsFinder/CliftonStrengths, which organizes the 34 Strengths Themes into specific clusters. The Strengths Themes represented in this collection are in the Relationship Building Domain- Adaptability, Developer, Connectedness, Empathy, Harmony, Includer, Individualization, Positivity, and Relator.Here's a taste: What Is the EMPATHY ThemeLike a sixth sense, people with strong empathy can feel the emotional world around them. They may tune-in to one person, a whole room, or a group-in every case, they are highly sensitive individuals who are capable of accurately sensing and identifying the feelings of others. More than that, they actually feel these emotions as if they were their own. There is an intuitive element in them that is highly developed. Because of all this, empaths are highly magnetic people and others seem to be naturally pulled toward them. They may not always show it, but they usually have a deep sense of a situation's tone, vibe, and mood. They can be intensely aware of the unseen and the unvoiced.Why Should We CareEmpaths are the people who connect us to the invisible, the unspoken, and the unheard-they help give voice to the inner-world of others. They are incredibly evolved in their abilities to truly and deeply understand what others are experiencing, and because of that they help others feel seen, held, and supported, especially in times of distress. An empath recognizes both sides of a situation more easily than the rest of the world. This does not mean that they agree with everything, but it does mean that they are able to be incredibly expansive in their thinking. In doing so, they are able to see light where others might see only darkness, which allows them to come up with solutions and perspectives that others simply cannot see. (Cont'd in the book)The second section of this book includes a collection of observations and reflections about how a "Strengths mindset" can best develop in each of us. This section is based on the epic coaching conversations I've had with people all over the world about their Strengths and the countless of hours of study and writing on this powerful tool.The idea in both sections is to expand on the base that has created by Strengths ambassadors around the globe and the idea here is to explore each theme more deeply than ever. The idea is not to challenge the already established ideas regarding each of the 34 Strengths Themes. Instead, in the following pages, those original ideas will be built upon and, in some cases, unpacked more thoroughly than what is presently available online and in print.
