Coach Renner learned through Coach Bill Walsh's teaching that if you coordinate the quarterback's footwork with the receiver's footwork you can complete passes and have a consistent and dynamic passing attack. Coach Walsh's philosophy influenced the creation of his West Coast Offense and produced arguably two of the best passing and receiving combinations in NFL history, Joe Montana and Jerry Rice and Steve Young and Jerry Rice. Coach Renner has used this footwork system during his 30-year coaching career in the I, wing-t, power I, and spread offenses he has coached. An average passing year for Coach Renner's offense over a 10-year period has been 3,000 passing yards, 28 passing touchdown, 68% completions and 9 interceptions.
