I thought it was written in Modern English as the description says "normalized spelling system for easier reading". I find it quite hard to understand the stories, so I think it's useful to inform buyers about this. It's a great edition for people who can understand this variant, but if you're not familiar with Middle English, look for another book (as I should've done).
