Colonel Walker must trust two local women to nurse him back to health and put him in the hands of the remaining members of the famous Comet Line operation that had helped Allied flyers to get back to their country. The book is an adventure story but it's also a story of hope, family, love, and honor. Even after moral failure, the Colonel chooses to stand by his principles at the risk of losing his wife.
