After writing the stories that became Tales of Ramasun I and II I thought I was done with all things Ramasun, but I wasn’t. My mind kept wandering back to those long gone times and a few more stories were remembered, some with the assistance of old friends and colleagues from those times who read my books and got in touch with me. I put these new stories in my files but there weren’t enough of them for another book. In the meantime I came up with a number of stories that weren’t about Ramasun, but were inspired by Ramasun. Now is the time to clean out those files. It’s a mixed bag, but I hope you will find something to enjoy. The first eight stories are related to Ramasun in one way or another. The last six are pure fiction, in the ‘inspired by Ramasun’ category. Many thanks to all the people who I have ‘found’ in the process of writing and publishing these stories. The old Ramasun buddies, many of whom I could not find until they read my stories and found me. All the folks who served at Ramasun Station while I was there who I never met because we were in different jobs. All the folks served there before or after I did. All the sons and daughters and wives of those old Ramasunians. All those who were never there but stumbled onto an interesting bit of history that they hadn’t heard about before. Thanks to all of you.
