Vaccines: Truth, Lies, and Controversy is based on the best available evidence, and Professor Peter S. G tzsche explains when and why we should not have confidence in the science and official recommendations. Some vaccines are so beneficial--and have saved millions of lives--that we should all get them; some are so poor that many healthcare professionals do not use them for themselves or their families; and some are in-between. (Dinamarca, 1949) Es un biólogo, médico e investigador en Medicina, experto en el análisis de medicamentos conocido por su trabajo en la investigación médica y por su papel en el campo de la medicina basada en la evidencia. Es especialista en medicina interna, y trabajó en la industria farmacéutica de 1975 a 1983. Fue creador de la organización Cochrane Collaboration, junto a otras ochenta personas, y la sección escandinava de esta misma asociación sin ánimo de lucro, con el que ganó fama y prestigio mundial. Es profesor de la Universidad de Copenhague en Análisis y Diseño de Investigación. A lo largo de su carrera, ha desempeñado un papel importante en la promoción de la transparencia en la investigación médica y en la crítica a ciertas prácticas y productos farmacéuticos.
