He shows us snapshots of what's in store to encourage us through the hard times and keep us moving forward toward His purpose in our lives. Yet, there are times when people give up because the test just seems like it will never be finished. Some become weighed down by the reality of all they feel, and soon, they begin to believe this is their destiny rather than a stage of spiritual development. Some never reach their potential because they give up too close to the finish. As a result, they never experience the fulfillment of God's purpose / dream for their lives. We don't want to endure these hard things. We just want the trial to stop. That's why, I feel, "Many are called, but few are chosen." This writing came during a time of testing in my life. I knew God had called me. But it was through His painful process of transformation that I learned He had chosen me. This writing isn't about me...It's about how the Lord ministered to me through His Word.
