The Hinduism and Buddhism the originator of the concept of Karma describe it as a force generated by a person's action. These actions can be voluntary or they can be actions caused by other people interaction. Many modern days attempts to define Karma fails because there is the assumption that Karma is representative of Justice. This is in error. Those who study the ancient definition of Karma are often disquieted because of the close relationship between Karma and Chaos. As the story "A Horrible Tale of Karma Implies", Karma demands balance and to achieve that end Karma will deliver you to Chaos, the gatekeeper of Hell. Maryjean had a child at a very young age, whether it was of her own violation or whether taken advantage, this is of is of little consequence, there was a price to be paid in order for balance to be restored. In an idealistic society, programmed to believe that if you do good, good will follow you, "A Horrible Tale of Karma", highlights facts that we are not prepared to accept, bad things happen to good people. If the English definition of Karma is "reaping what you sow", then there is a need to amend this definition. "A Horrible Tale of Karma", depicts the suffering and hardship injected upon a person, family because of the action of an outside entity. As you read the story of Maryjean, you will feel her pain, and as you fight to hold back the tears, you will come to hate her. However, before the final chapter, your hate will be transformed into joy as you rejoice in her triumphs.
